My Story
My name is Mitchell Marr. I am a homeschool kid who grew up in Minneapolis Minnesota, playing basketball for a competitive but unrecognized homeschool basketball program, and quickly learned how difficult it was to gain exposure in front of college coaches. My dream was always to play college basketball, but because homeschool programs were often overlooked, I knew I would have to outwork everyone around me to create opportunities.
After being overlooked early in high school, I became obsessed with improvement. Spending countless hours training and even moving from Minnesota to Colorado for two months to train with Division I-level trainers—sleeping on couches inside a basketball facility while working and training every day.
That journey eventually led me to play collegiate basketball at Free Lutheran Bible College and later Emmaus University, where I gained recognition from overseas professional coaches.
Those experiences shaped my passion for helping homeschool/overlooked athletes receive the competition, exposure, and opportunities they deserve.
That is why I created Blueprint Basketball—to build stronger competition and more opportunities for homeschool/unrecognized basketball players across the Midwest.
If you are a homeschool/underlooked basketball program looking for more competitive opportunities against high-level teams you may not typically face during the regular season, I would love to connect with you. My goal is to provide competitive matchups to help teams and players receive the recognition they deserve. I would be excited to share more details about Blueprint Basketball and how your program can get involved. If you're interested in connecting, my goal is to provide a platform for athletes to grow.
